Federal Budget discussed at the Monthly Dinner

On 9 May 2012, The Australian Arab Business Network did a budget presentation where its President
Radwan Hamdan, Economics Commentator and Chartered Accountant, gave a brief on the outcome
of the Budget for 2012-13, and its implications on Business and Individuals. The salient features of
the budget 2012-13 were summarised below:

President of Lebanon Meets with the Australian Arab Business Network

On 18 April 2012, the President of the Republic of Lebanon HE Michel Sleiman met with the Australian Arab Business Network (AABN) at the Hyatt Hotel Sydney at a private meeting together with a small selective group of business people. The AABN was represented by Radwan Hamdan (President), Ali Kawtarani (Vice President) and Eddie M Chehab (Treasurer). The meeting was for one hour approximately.   During the meeting, President of the Network had made a brief presentation to His Excellency outlining the credentials of the Network and how it represents over 180 businesses with a collective revenue base of $1.2 Billion who jointly have over 2,000 employees, and that the AABN is the premier organisation embracing Australian Arab businesses.

Second Edition of Tawasol launched
The second edition of Tawasol, a comprehensive directory of AABN members was launched at the June monthly dinner of the Australian Arab Business Network. The second edition is close to 180 pages long and has lot of additional information.  Listing in the directory is limited to AABN members a copy of the on line version can be found under Tawasol of the home page of this website.

Join AABN Face Book Fan Page and stay up to date
The Australian Arab Business Network launched its Facebook Fan Page last night at its May monthly dinner, held at La Fontana Di Trevi Bankstown.  AABN Board Member and Administrator, Mr. Farid Zaki, proclaimed this initiative as part of the AABN's drive to connect with the time and engage more and more young people.  The Page had more than 40 people join before even the launch took place which shows the power of social media in linking people together, said Mr. Zaki.

Three businesses were rewarded at the Gala Dinner of the Australian Arab Business Network (AABN), held at the La Luna Lounge on Saturday 12 March 2011.  The event attracted a strong crowd of 350 business and community leaders, some Arab Ambassadors and representatives of the three tiers of Australian governments.
On this occasion, the Network rewarded business achievement to the young entrepreneurial and business Members of the Australian Arab community who have shown energy, drive and initiative.
